AMHERST - Donna Lynn Taylor, 49, of Herring Cove Road, Halifax, was sentenced in court on Monday to a fine of $1,380 and a one-year driving prohibition after pleading guilty to refusing to provide samples of her breath to enable a police officer to determine the concentration, if any, of alcohol in her blood.
The incident occurred Aug. 10, 2010, in Halifax.
Taylor was also sentenced to 12 months probation and 40 hours community service after pleading in court on Monday to committing public mischief by misleading a peace officer from the town of Amherst to enter upon an investigation by reporting that the offence of Break and Enter had been committed when it had not been committed.
The incident occurred Aug. 2, 2011.
