There were a number of snow-covered cars travelling the roads of Cumberland County this morning. Brad Works - Amherst Daily News
AMHERST - While many people across the Maritimes are recovering today from the effects of pounding surf, flooding and wind damage, people in parts of Cumberland County woke up to snow.
There was no accumulation in Amherst, but residents from higher elevations outside town had plenty of snow on their cars when they arrived at school and work this morning.
The Department of Transportation is reporting slippery sections on the Trans Canada Highway between Springhill and Truro, and snow is on the ground on the Cumberland County portion of the Cobequid Pass Highway, north of the toll plaza.
