PARRSBORO - The ballots are not being counted just yet, but time is growing short for the Bay of Fundy in the New7Wonders of Nature campaign.
The bay is one of 28 finalists in the international campaign, which will be decided after online voting is closed on Nov. 11 and results are tabulated.
"We're one of the more active finalists so we are definitely still competitive in the campaign," said Terri McCulloch, executive director of the Bay of Fundy Tourism Partnership.
Although campaign workers do not know the voting numbers for their site or that of any other finalist, McCulloch said the finalists are sometimes compared with each other in terms of which sites are showing the fastest growth in votes, and, at last count, the Bay of Fundy was one of the fastest-growing sites.
