Connick sentenced to probation on three counts

AMHERST – Peter Joseph Connick, 58, of Amherst Head, N.S., was sentenced to 12 months probation with conditions, concurrent on three counts, and a $150 fine in court on Thursday after pleading guilty to committing mischief by damaging property, a stove, the value of which did not exceed $5,000, obstructing an RCMP officer engaged in the execution of his duty by barricading himself in a residence, and resisting an RCMP officer engaged in the investigation of a domestic dispute.

The incidents occurred June 22 in Amherst.

 

Fudge sentenced after damaging tires

AMHERST – Caleb Ford Fudge, 51, of Springhill, was sentenced to 12 months probation, with conditions, and a $50 fine in court on Thursday after pleading guilty to committing mischief by damaging the tires of the victim.

The incident occurred July 19 in Springhill.
