AMHERST - Simon Turner's phone has been ringing off the hook since Monday of last week.

That's when Turner's first My Nova Scotia commercial aired on television.

"I even had an older lady who called today. She was thrilled because she had just seen the commercial on television. It was so nice," said Turner, who owns and operates the Art of Eating Deli on Church Street.

Although the commercial is only about 45 seconds in length, it took five-and-a-half hours to film.

"They did a really good job with it. They were so professional and because of their guidance, they can make you do anything."

In the commercial, Turner takes about a couple of events in the province, including the Wild Blueberry Harvest Festival.

"They gave me a scripted piece but they had asked for some of the things in the area that I like to do. I did say the Wild Blueberry Harvest Festival - we used to do that when I was a kid."

Another Cumberland County resident, Barb Sharples, is to be featured on a commercial as well.

congratulations on your commercial. I was always curious about The Art of Eating Deli...now that I know who owns it I will definately be going there now. It is nice for consumers to see ,on a professional level, who is running business', because it gives them an idea on what to expect. Me and my family will definately be checking it out. Again congrats.

Good job Simon! I'll be sure to stop by the deli the next time I am home in Amherst.
