AMHERST – A 19-year-old man will stand trial in December on a charge of incest with his sister.

The man, who can’t be identified because of a publication ban, had his lawyer enter a not guilty plea to the charge, as well as one charge each of assault on the sister and breaking her glasses.

Both the Crown and defence have agreed to try all charges together, although the assault and mischief charges are on separate police incidents.

The man was charged the middle of February.

The assault and mischief is alleged to have occurred on Feb. 17, 2011, while the incest is alleged to have occurred between Feb. 17, 2010 and the same date in 2011.

The 26-year-old woman has also been charged with incest and has entered a not guilty plea.

She will appear for a half-day trial on Nov. 16 at 9:30 a.m., while his full-day trial is scheduled for Dec. 6.
