WALLACE – A man is facing numerous charges after the car he is suspected of driving was found on its side near Wallace Bay.
At 3:05 a.m. Sunday, Pugwash RCMP observed a vehicle traveling at a speed that was close to double the posted speed limit on Highway 6.
Upon turning, in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle was located on its side at the intersection of Highway 6 and the Wallace River West Road.
The alleged driver had fled from the scene. After a brief search of the area, the Mounties located a 22-year-old male hiding in the woods.
As a result, he is facing numerous charges including Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Stunting under the Motor Vehicle Act.
