AMHERST - Lisette Sumbu is hoping to bring a bit of the city to this small town Saturday night.

Sumbu has been working for the past couple of months on the All White Everything event scheduled for Teazers Pub.

"I wanted to introduce a different aspect of the music industry to people in the community because a lot of people aren't aware there are local hip hop artists around," said Sumbu.

"I wanted to experiment to see if this town is interested in moving onward and bringing some elements of the city here."

The event will promote a number of hip hop and R&B artists, including locals Sumbu and Mike Dowe, or MDB.

"For this area, Mike is one of the first legally blind hip hop artists," she said of Dowe, who has been in the business for the past three years.

In keeping with the city style, All White Everything will have two entrances - a VIP entrance as well as the regular door.

VIP's will receive a free CD and photo opportunity thanks to Gallery 8's Megan Lewis.

For more information, or to be placed on the VIP list, contact Sumbu at 661-1949.
