WEST BROOK – Not a lot of seven-year-olds know how to navigate a chessboard, but Hannah Dickinson does. She will travel across the country this summer to compete in the national championships.
Having only started playing the game last September, the daughter of Andrew and Denise Dickinson will represent her province at the Canadian Chess Challenge in Victoria on May 22-23.
“I’m excited and very happy,” said Hannah, in a recent interview at her grandparents’ home. “It’s fun because you win trophies and stuff.”
