PARRSBORO – Two dedicated baseball and softball volunteers, one from the past and one from the present, will be honoured this year when signs in their honour will be placed at the Triassic Park ball field.

Bernie Pettigrew and the late Phil Legere will have signs erected at the field later this year, town council agreed at its March 22 monthly session.

The town was approached with the idea by local business person Duncan Lake, who offered to help with the project. He thought it would be nice to pay tribute to Legere, who was a dedicated umpire who volunteered for many years, and Pettigrew, a long time little league coach who worked hard to get that field ready for play.
