PARRSBORO - The town's first Alpha LEO Club held its first charter night here on March 3, in front of several parents, Lions and community supporters in attendance.

"I'm pleased with the accomplishments we have made as the Parrsboro LEO Club," said Lion Cheryl Johnson, an advisor to the new group of youths. "I am really happy to be a part of mentoring these future leaders in our community.

Even if they graduate and go off in a few years to university, wherever they go, they will take these skills with them and I know they will make a difference in their community," she added.

One by one, the club members came forward and accepted certificates from Johnson, King Lion Frank Hartman, Lion Sarah Hartman and the club's first leader, Zack Perrin.
