WENTWORTH VALLEY - Strapping on skis and hurling yourself down a hill is a lot harder than it looks, according to 23-year-old Yuan Tian, who along with friends decided to try skiing for the first time.

It was mid-afternoon on Saturday, Jan. 15 when Tian was practicing the art of skiing on the bunny hill at Ski Wentworth.

"I've been practicing for about two or three hours," Tian said, adding that standing on the skis isn't getting any easier but he has no plans to give up yet.

Ski Wentworth manager Leslie Wilson said Saturday's conditions couldn't be any more perfect.
