PARRSBORO - A deteriorating breakwater and harsh winter storms are creating havoc with Parrsboro's wharf and surrounding areas within the Parrsboro harbour.

A late November/early December storm surge caused replacement of vertical steel cladding along with bolt and brace repair to Parrsboro's wharf neccessary in addition to regular maitenance to the wharf.

"It's unsure how much damage was done due to the storm surges until the contractor gets under the wharf and gets a closer look at the damage," Smith said.
