WENTWORTH VALLEY - The New Year's Day tradition at Ernie Wilson's camp in Wentworth Valley is not for the weak at heart, and eight people participating in the traditional polar bear dip this year found that out.

Carson Dares has been an active participant of the dip for the past 18 years and says he has no plans of throwing in the towel any time soon.

"It's fun, and as long as water conditions are safe in the river and there are people who want to participate then the tradition will continue," Dares said.
