PUGWASH - The Pugwash Camera Club has had its first successful month of instruction and fun competetion.
The club is divided into two sections:
1) The senior membership meets every second Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Eaton Webb B&B. It's purpose is competetive but fun photography with the occasional food fest as required. The last meeting occurred on Sunday, April 11, together with a generous and delicious potluck luncheon.
During that meeting a winner of the best photograph for the month of April was chosen. Club president Paolo Brenciaglia handed the award certificate to Jessy Wysmyk for her artistic photo.
Also at this meeting, the executives adopted a new name for the club to better represent the areas of membership activities of the group. The new name is Ma-Wa-Pu-Sh-Am Camera Club (i.e. MAlagash + WAllace + PUgwash+ SHinimacas+AMherst). Attending the session were Paolo and Sandi Brenciaglia, Ray Jamieson, Gail Cline, Emily Suen, Charles Royan, Jess, Wysmyk and Ann Jefferies. The instruction part of the meeting was on portraiture, which will be the subject of the competetion for the next couple of weeks.2) The Junior section meets at the Pugwash high school and consists of two classes, a beginner/intermediate class which meets Mondays at 3 p.m., and the portraiture/advanced group, which meets there on Thursdays at 3 p.m.
Anyone interested in joining either section of the camera club can contact Paolo or Sandi Brenciaglia at 243-3203, or by e-mail email@example.com.
