Davis given probation for drug charges

Brandon Cole Davis, 22, of 1223 Blue Sac Rd., Lower Five Islands, was given a suspended sentence of probation for one year after pleading guilty to one count each of possession of cocaine and possession of ecstasy.

 

He was given the same one-year probation with conditions sentence for each count, concurrent to one another.

Each count also comes with a $50 victim fine surcharge, to be paid by June 15, 2010.

The incidents occurred Nov. 5, 2009, in Parrsboro.

 

Chappell to return for sentencing

Garnett Allan Chappell, 21, of 2939 Beckwith Rd., Port Howe, will return for sentencing in May after pleading guilty to one count each of failing the breathalyser and possession of stolen property.

The Crown is seeking a pre-sentence report.

Chappell will return for sentencing on May 10, 2010, at 1:30 p.m.

A 12-month driving prohibition was imposed when he entered his guilty plea to failing the breathalyser.

The incidents occurred Jan. 31, 2010, in Amherst.

 

Noiles to return for sentencing

Richard Noiles, 59, of 63 McGee St., Springhill, will return for sentencing later this month after pleading guilty to one count of harassment.

The Crown is seeking an adjournment on sentencing to confirm whether or not a victim impact statement will be submitted.

Noiles' sentencing has been adjourned until March 29, 2010, at 9:30 a.m.

The incident occurred Jan. 15, 2010, in Springhill.

His undertaking has been continued.
