AMHERST (Staff) - Final payment of registration and sweater pickup for the Fundy Hockey School will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Amherst Stadium.

On-ice sessions will be under the direction of Jamie Matthews with 135 players taking part in this year's school, the 24th annual. The school begins Saturday and runs through Tuesday, Oct. 2.
AJKA beginners class
AMHERST (Staff) - A Karate beginner program will be offered in Amherst for those interested in learning the Art of Shotokan Karate, basic self-defence and excellent physical fitness for the 26th consecutive year.
The classes are open to all men, women and children eight years of age and up and are held in the gymnasium at the Cumberland YMCA.
Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays for youth and adults (age 8+) from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. or 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The first class is on Tuesday, Sept. 11 and the program runs for 10 weeks.

CCMHA seeks coaches
AMHERST (Staff) - The Cumberland County Minor Hockey Association is seeking house league coaches for the upcoming season.
As well, it is looking for volunteers interested in being scorekeepers at the Amherst Stadium, Oxford Arena and the Richard Calder Arena in Springhill. Minor hockey is considering offering a small honorarium for those doing the scoring.

CCMHA Bantam AAA Ramblers
continue dryland training
AMHERST (Staff) - The Cumberland County Bordertown Pontiac Bantam AAA Ramblers will continue dryland training on on Thursday, Sept. 13, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. at the Rotary Centennial Park on Elmwood Drive.
Additional camps will be held Dryland sessions will be led by Cumberland County Cool Blues assistant coach Lewis Dorrington.
The team's first on-ice session is Friday, Sept. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Richard Calder Arena in Springhill.
The Ramblers are being coached this season by Brad Skinner.
Cool Blues Four-ball Scramble

SPRINGHILL (Staff) - The Ross Refrigeration Cumberland County Cool Blues Junior B Hockey Club will be hosting a Four-ball Scramble at the Springhill Centennial Golf Club on Saturday, Sept. 29.
Registration fees are $25 for club members and $30 for non-members. This includes a steak barbecue following the tournament.
Teams must have a minimum handicap of 55 with no more than two members of the team with handicaps of 10 or less.

Aerials Gymnastics registration

AMHERST (Staff) - The Amherst Aerials Gymnastics Club will be holding registration for the fall sessions at the gym located at 10 Lawrence St. from Sept. 11 to 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Classes are available for boys and girls ages 18 months and over.
Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
The club is also looking for volunteer coaches for recreational programs.
