AMHERST (Staff) The Cumberland County Minor Hockey Association is seeking house league coaches for the upcoming season.
As well, it is looking for volunteers interested in being scorekeepers at the Amherst Stadium, Oxford Arena and the Richard Calder Arena in Springhill. Minor hockey is considering offering a small honorarium for those doing the scoring.

Bantam AAA Ramblers host dryland training Sept. 10
AMHERST (Staff) The Cumberland County Bordertown Pontiac Bantam AAA Ramblers will open their dryland training on Monday, Sept. 10, at 6 p.m. at the Rotary Centennial Park on Elmwood Drive.
Additional camps will be held on Thursday, Sept. 13, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m.
Dryland sessions will be led by Cumberland County Cool Blues assistant coach Lewis Dorrington.
The teams first on-ice session is Friday, Sept. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Richard Calder Arena in Springhill.
The Ramblers are being coached this season by Brad Skinner.
Cool Blues seeking teams
for Four-ball Scramble
SPRINGHILL (Staff) - The Ross Refrigeration Cumberland County Cool Blues Junior B Hockey Club will be hosting a Four-ball Scramble at the Springhill Centennial Golf Club on Saturday, Sept. 22.
Registration fees are $25 for club members and $30 for non-members. This includes a steak barbecue following the tournament.
Teams must have a minimum handicap of 55 with no more than two members of the team with handicaps of 10 or less.

Aerials Gymnastics to host registration
AMHERST (Staff) - The Amherst Aerials Gymnastics Club will be holding registration for the fall sessions at the gym located at 10 Lawrence St. from Sept. 11 to 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Classes are available for boys and girls ages 18 months and over.
Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
The club is also looking for volunteer coaches for recreational programs.

Inaugural Porter Memorial Golf
seeking entries for Sept. 29 event
AMHERST (Staff) - The inaugural Morgan Porter Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at the Amherst Golf Club on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Cost is $35 for Amherst Golf Club members and $65 for non-members. Entry fee is due at noon on Sept. 29.

Cumberland County Blues
season tickets on sale
SPRINGHILL (Staff) - The Cumberland County Ross Refrigeration Cool Blues are encouraging season ticket holders to purchase their passes for the 2007-2008 season as soon as possible.
Pass holders who renew their passes by Sept. 27 are able to reserve the same seat they held last season. After that date, the seat will not be held if the season pass has not been purchased.
Season ticket prices are $ 80 for adults; $65 for students and seniors and $35 for pre-school children.
