TORONTO – Canadian comedy stars Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara are set to reunite in a new series for CBC-TV.

Eugene Levy attends the premiere of "Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection" on Monday, June 25, 2012, in New York. Levy and Catherine O'Hara are set to reunite in a new series for CBC-TV.

The CBC and Not A Real Company Productions Inc. say the former “SCTV” stars will headline an “audacious” half-hour comedy show called “Schitt’s Creek.”

Levy will star as a recently broke video store billionaire named Johnny Rose while O’Hara will play his soap star wife, Moira.

Comedy star Chris Elliott will play the mayor of Schitt’s Creek, which is owned by Johnny and Moira.

Levy created the 13-episode series with his TV personality son, Dan, who will also be featured on the show as Johnny’s “uber hipster” son.

Production is set to begin in Ontario this spring.

The CBC commissioned the project and Not A Real Company Productions Inc. is producing.
