TRURO – Virginia-raised artist Jonathan Edwards is set to perform songs from his newest album at the Marigold Cultural Centre.

Virginia-raised artist Jonathan Edwards is set to perform songs from his newest album at the Marigold Cultural Centre. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. on July 31.

Edwards will perform at 7:30 p.m. July 31.

Topping the charts in the 1970s with the classic hit ‘Sunshine,’ the musician will perform songs from ‘My Love Will Keep.’ It’s his first album in 14 years.

Edwards remains one of the premiere troubadours of the past 40 years, who debuted in many hearts and minds with the 1971 release of his hit single, Sunshine, the first gold record for then-fledgling Capricorn Records. His debut album for Capricorn and subsequent releases on Atlantic Records and other labels (including his own imprint), showcased his country, folk and bluegrass influences and demonstrated his penchant for writing songs of both honesty and poignancy.
