Choumiline and Keaveney created heroines with family issues and coming to terms with life and death. Peck’s ammo-packing main character must protect herself from a zombie-infested capital city amidst misery and despair.

Carreau-Burns wrote a science-fiction thriller about a young man with unusual powers and his friends who had to stop an evil force that wanted to control and destroy their world.
