Tickets selling fast for Rick Mercer show

TRURO - Anyone looking for last minute tickets to the Rick Mercer show in Truro should act quickly.

"With one month to go we are thrilled to have the tickets for Rick Mercer selling so well," said Cathrine Yuill, Hospice Society executive director, in a recent news release. "I'm sure we will have a sell out on our hands. The event has certainly created the buzz we were hoping for."

The CEC Theatre seats 1,000 and more than 750 tickets have already been sold for this May 10 event.

The show starts at 8 p.m. and is a fundraiser for the hospice.

Mercer is best known for his popular comedy show, The Rick Mercer Report, on CBC.

Audiences are in for an extra treat as Hospice recently added local favorite Bill Carr to the program as the opening act.
