Carlton Showband bringing Irish stylings to deCoste March 14

PICTOU – Just in time for St. Patrick Day, the Carlton Showband will play the deCoste Entertainment Centre.

The band is currently touring the Maritimes as part of their 2010 Reunion Tour and will perform March 14 in Pictou.

The Carlton Showband formed in 1964 and soon joined The Pig N’ Whistle television show in 1967 for 11 seasons. The CTV show was one of the highest rated in the network’s history and following the show the band toured across Canada for 32 years. Their records have reached gold and platinum status and the band has won several Junos and Big Country Awards.
