ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - A Newfoundland teacher accused of disciplining a student by locking him a room will not be disciplined because the report turned out to be inaccurate.
The Eastern School District says no disciplinary action will be taken against a teacher now that an investigation has been completed.
Ford Rice, the school board's director, says the teacher gave a disruptive student a time out last week.
Initial reports suggested the child was locked in a room, but the investigation revealed that was untrue.
Instead, the student was placed in a foyer outside the classroom.
