CHARLOTTETOWN - The owners of 13 properties in Stratford, P.E.I., will be given heritage registration certificates today.
Culture Minister Robert Vessey says the owners recognize and appreciate the historic value of their holdings and have worked to preserve them.
Nominations for the Register of Heritage Places are reviewed and evaluated on age, architectural style and design, integrity, exterior condition, and historical associations.
The properties recognized today have been added to the PEI Register of Heritage Places.
They include the Major T. B. Rogers House, built by a prominent business family in 1920, and the Cross Roads Christian Church that went up in 1839.
