CHARLOTTETOWN - The P.E.I. Snowmobile Association is offering a $500 reward for information about the killing of a fox in Charlottetown.
The group is looking for the names of people believed to have crushed the animal with their snow machines early Saturday morning.
Association president Dale Hickox says the brutal act is painting a bad picture of snowmobilers.
Hickox says members of his group are "appalled" by the weekend incident.
He says any names will be turned over to the authorities.
A Charlottetown Police Services spokesman says their investigation continues and they're looking to talk to "several people of interest."

Who's to say they didn't chase it? If there are tracks that follow tracks it might very well show it was an intentional act... and in deep snow the fox would stand little chance outrunning a sled.

It was handed over to police which shows there is enough physical evidence that something occured. All you're going on is this little blurb in the paper that is less than 100 words. Don't hang the group out to dry, or shrug off the possible offence, based on that...

OMG what do they think that the snowmobilers ran over the fox on purpose? Have they ever heard a sled before? They are loud and a fox would hear it from miles away,,,and they probably would not catch a fox or even get close to one unless it was by a fluke. I guess people will complain about anything these days,,,Well I sure hope this group doesn't hear or find out about the raccoon I ran over in my car last week on the highway and come after me .... This group should go back to plucking potatoes out of the ground and stop trying to make a big deal over something that they can't even know for sure wasn't an accident!!
