Two people were left homeless and treated for minor burns after their mini home was destroyed by fire Friday morning.

Canadian Red Cross spokesman Dan Bedell said volunteers assisted the couple with personal-care items and extra food, while the Salvation Army and Sobeys also helped out with clothes and other items.

The man and woman, who were both treated at the scene by paramedics for slight burns, are now temporarily staying with other family members.
