Information sought on how parked vehicles were damaged

TRURO - Truro police are looking for information from the public in relation to weekend damage to two vehicles that were parked in front of the town's library. Police indicate a dark coloured, later model Dodge Caravan ran into both vehicles about 11 a.m. Saturday morning. The Caravan has a licence plate of CYZ 395. Information on this incident may be forwarded to Truro police at 895-5351.

    Does blame not default to the previous owner of the plates even if the plates are not currently registered? They must have been registered at some point. Unregistered plates must be destroyed, returned to the DMV or kept in a secure place (but preferably one of the first 2).

    In yesterday's article, you would see the plate wasn't registered to any vehicle.

    MWTHEGUY, they're probably not allowed to because it might contravene The Privacy Act. Policing is tough work these days ....

    Maybe the plates were stolen. The guy the plates were stolen from would have gotten different plates.
