FREDERICTON - A New Brunswick subsidiary of Research in Motion (TSX:RIM) is getting government help to create up to 50 new jobs in Fredericton.
The province will give Chalk Media Corp. up to $800,000 in payroll rebates.
Chalk designs software and hardware for Research in Motion's BlackBerry mobile communications devices.
The company was purchased by RIM one year ago and now employs more than 50 people.
Premier Shawn Graham says the company's expansion sends a signal that New Brunswick is a place for innovation, productivity and growth.
