Man dead in N.S. after losing control of his SUV on the Cabot Trail

CAP LE MOINE, N.S. - RCMP say a Nova Scotia man is dead after losing control of his SUV on the Cabot Trail.

Douglas Ian MacDonald, 41, of Inverside was driving southbound on Saturday night when the vehicle left the road near Cap Le Moine.

Police say the SUV wound up in a field.

MacDonald, the lone occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
