Blood Donor Clinic
Canadian Blood Services will hold a blood donor clinic from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m., at the Amherst Fire Hall.
Holiday Party
The Springhill library will hold a holiday party for ages 5-12 from 3-4:30 p.m. Games, crafts and treats.
Dec. 10
Election of Officers
A general election of officers for Amherst Legion Branch No. 10 will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Dec. 11
Pot Luck Supper and Cards
A pot luck supper followed by an evening of cards will be held at Sunrise Senior Citizens Hall in Lower Shinimicas at 6 p.m. Bring dishes and your favourite food(s).
Dec. 12
Christmas Fun Day
Maggie's Place staff will be hosting a Christmas celebration for young children in the gym at the Cumberland YMCA. For more information, call 667-7250.
Christmas Market
A Christmas market will be held from 9 a.m.-noon at the Log Building in Advocate Harbour.
Bake Sale
The 'Chicks Night Out' youth group will be holding a Bake Sale from 10 a.m. to noon at the Cumberland YMCA to raise funds to help girls in Africa go to school.
Breakfast
The Knights of Columbus is holding its monthly breakfast from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus Community Center on 5 Robie Street. All are welcome.
Dec. 13
Evening Service
St. David's Presbyterian Church (15 Junction Road, Springhill) will hold an evening service with music by the Highland AME Choir from Amherst at 7 p.m. Free will offering.
Christmas Candlelight Celebration
A Christmas candlelight celebration will be held at the Mothers of Angels Memory Garden in Christie Park at 1:30 p.m. Contact 661-3183 for more information.
Musical Christmas Tea
ARHS and E.B. Chandler Junior High bands will hold a musical Christmas tea at 2 p.m., at ARHS. Proceeds for musical instruments and sheet music.
Musical Afternoon
A musical afternoon will be held at the Sunrise Senior Citizens Hall in Lower Shinimicas at 1 p.m.
Christmas Concert
A Sunday school Christmas concert will be held at Crossroads Gospel Temple, 155 Church St., Amherst at 6:30 p.m.

Christmas Village Open House
A Dickens Christmas village open house will be held at 1925 Highway 6 in Truemanville from 6-9 p.m. Goodwill donations to Sunrise Trinity United Church accepted.
Dec. 16
After School Movie
The Springhill library will be showing the movie "Santa Buddies" from 3-4:30 p.m. Open to ages 5-12. Register by Dec. 12.
Classic Movie Night
The Springhill library will be showing Irving Berlin's "Holiday Inn" at 7 p.m. Register by Dec. 5.
Christmas Luncheon
Amherst CWC will hold its Christmas Luncheon at the Wandlyn Inn 11:30 a.m. Reservations required. Call 667-3729 for info. All welcome.

Christmas Musical
The Revival Centre Youth Group will present the Christmas musical "Bethlehem A.D." at 7 p.m.

A Christmas musical will be held at Crossroads Gospel Temple, 155 Church St., Amherst at 6:30 p.m.

Holiday party for kids
The Amherst library will be having its annual Holiday Party for grades primary to six. Come in and join us for an afternoon of stories, games and puppet fun. 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.

The Revival Centre will hold a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m.
Christmas Eve Pagent
The 46th annual Christmas Eve Pagent will be held at Immanuel United Church at 7 p.m.
Grinch comes to library
The Amherst Library will be showing "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" starring Jim Carrey from 10:30am -12:30pm. (Please Note: The Library will be closing at 1pm for Christmas Eve) Grades Primary to Six.

Breakfast/Fundraiser
The Springhill & Oxford area chapter of the Kidney Foundation of Canada will hold a family breakfast and fundraiser at the Lamp Cabin Dining & Beverage Room (Junction Road), Springhill. Breakfast from 8-11:30 a.m. Fundraiser from 2 p.m.-midnight.
Jan. 6
Air Cadet parade
154 Amherst Anson Air Cadet Squadron, will hold its CO's Parade at 6 p.m. Amherst Armories. Continuous intake of new cadets every Wednesday 6 to 9 p.m. Info, phone 669-1543.
