Worker killed installing underground pipe in Sussex, N.B., potash mine

SUSSEX, N.B. - Worksafe N.B. officials are investigating the death of a worker at the Potash Corp. mine in Sussex.
Vince Mitton, 56, of Penobsquis, N.B., was killed on the weekend while installing a section of pipe underground.
The mine is in an inventory shutdown until Dec. 6 and the section where Mitton was killed will remain closed until the investigation into his death is completed.
The death was the first at the mine since 1986.
