MASSTOWN, N.S. - A man is in stable condition in a Halifax hospital after surviving collisions with two tractor-trailers early today on Highway 104 in Nova Scotia.
RCMP say the Pictou County man, who was driving a small pickup truck, was hit by the first tractor-trailer around 12:30 a.m. as he tried to make a U-turn near the Masstown overpass.
Police say the man had missed his exit in foggy conditions and decided to turn around after realizing he was lost.
The man told police he did not see the first tractor-trailer that struck him because it was in his blind spot when he turned.
A second tractor-trailer that came along directly afterward also hit the small truck.
Neither driver of the big rigs was injured.
