Canada World Youth participants from Indonesia gathered at the Cumberland YMCA Wednesday morning to make a youth pledge known as Sumpah Pemuda. The pledge, which states the youth belong to one country and one nation, and speak one language, was first used 81 years ago and has been used to unite Indonesians in their plight to become an independent country, a plight that turned to reality in 1945.
