RCMP investigate sudden death of baby boy in N.S., two people in custody

LIVERPOOL, N.S. - RCMP say they have taken two people into custody in connection the sudden death of a newborn in Liverpool, N.S.

No charges have been laid against the 25-year-old woman or her common-law husband.

Cpl. Grant Webber says the mother brought the deceased baby boy to hospital on Monday night.

Webber says the child's mother had given birth at home last Wednesday.

An autopsy has been performed, but police have not released the results.
