MONTREAL - Police say there were no traces of violence on the bodies of a 46-year-old father and his young daughter, who were found in a hotel room in suburban Montreal.
Longueuil police spokesman Mark David says autopsies are being performed on the bodies of Albert Pelchat and his six-year-old daughter Daphnee.
The bodies were discovered Sunday afternoon by a member of the hotel's cleaning staff who then called authorities.
Police say the father lived in Montreal, and booked the hotel room in suburban Brossard on Friday.
David says police have contacted the families to get more information amid reports Pelchat had been separated from his wife.
The young girl had apparently been living with her mother in the suburb of St-Hubert and saw her father on weekends.
Meantime, police nearby are investigating two more suspicious deaths.
Police were called to an apartment in Longueuil today after a friend discovered the bodies of two men, who were believed to be in their 40s.
