RCMP releases name of N.S. man killed in collision with Via Rail

LANTZ, N.S. - Police have released the name of a Nova Scotia man who was killed when his vehicle was struck by a Via Rail passenger train on the weekend.

Bruce Preeper, 45, of Lantz died in the collision at a crossing on Highway 227 in Lantz on Saturday night.

A 15-car train was on its way to Halifax from Montreal when the accident occurred.

There were no injuries on the train.
