Shed destroyed in afternoon fire

Amherst firefighters pulled equipment, including a snow blower and ride-on lawnmower, out of a burning shed on Costin Drive shortly after 1:30 p.m., on Sunday. An investigation into the cause of the fire has concluded with a result of electrical wiring. The daughter of the homeowners says her father was in the shed about an hour before the fire broke out, when everything was OK. An hour later, she said her brother-in-law pulled into the driveway to see flames shooting through the eaves. It is unknown whether the building was insured.
