CHARLOTTETOWN Children and staff at Grace Baptist Christian School in Charlottetown have become ill with what is believed to be the Norwalk virus.

About 50 people were out sick late last week with the stomach virus and about 20 were still out Monday.

School principal Jason Biech was one of those affected last week.

Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps.

Biech said no one was hospitalized and people have been making quick recoveries.

The school contacted the provincial Health Department on Friday to inform them of the sickness.
