PARRSBORO: After collecting old cars over the last six years 9 year-old Austin Ellis' collection has expanded to 52 cars, trucks, tractors and much more which he had on display at the 10th annual Fundy Shore Auto Club's car show in Parrsboro last weekend.
On July 19th and 20th Austin sat at a table inside the Parrsboro Lions Arena with his display of these miniature antiques that he began collecting when he was 3 years old.
"Austin's car collection drew in a lot of young kids who were interested in his cars. It's really good to see younger people take an interest," Reid Gilbert Fundy Shore Auto Club member said.
"I like the look of the old vehicles," Austin said.
"When I first get a new car or truck I play with them for awhile then I put them in a display case to keep them in good shape," Austin said.
Austin comes by his love for vintage vehicles naturally with his parents both owning antique vehicles; his mother has an antique punch buggy and his father a 1960's Autocar.
Austin plans continuing expanding his antique car collection and hopes to have a life size antique of his own one day.
