AMHERST - The Cumberland Health Care Foundation handed out two awards during its 10th Annual Foundation Dinner.
The first being the 2008 Distinguished Service Award for Health Care Philanthropy in Northern Nova Scotia awarded to Poly Cello.
"Poly Cello and their staff have been strong, consistent supporters of health care for County residents. They're the kind of company that looks after not only their employees but others in the county by investing in health and wellness in the area," said Wood.
Poly Cello has contributed in many different ways to the foundation, by participating in the annual golf tournament fundraiser, donating funds for the new hospital and later for the equipment that would be needed there.
Also, the 2008 Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to John Covert, a volunteer with the foundation.
