Game 4 tonight in Antigonish
Blues on the brink of elimination
SPRINGHILL - Down 3-0 in their best of seven series against the Antigonish Bulldogs, the Cumberland County Cool Blues will need to start pulling some major sized rabbits out of their helmets if they hope to win the next four games in a row.
Last nights performance didn't offer much hope for magic after they were defeated by a score of 6-1 at the Richard Calder Arena.
Despite the loss, coach Ron Reynolds holds out hope for his team.
"If we go down there and win a game tomorrow, then come back here on Sunday and win another game we'll be right back in the series," Reynolds said. "It wouldn't be the first time a team came back from a 3-0 deficit, it's been done before and it can be done again."
It was a goal from Justin Cortes that prevented Bulldogs goaltender Dan Axford from recording a shutout," but that offers little solace for Reynolds.
"The problem is that we are up against a hot goaltender and we have to find ways to get more pucks past him," Reynolds said. "The boys are getting the chances but we aren't scoring."
Needless to say it's do or die for the Cool Blues tonight in Antigonish.
"One thing I can say is that the boys haven't given up," Reynolds said. "All we can do is take it one shift at a time."
