Win streak ends for Pugwash horse, Hilo

MONTREAL, Que. - The win streak of five-year-old Nova_Scotia-owned pacer Hilo came to a halt last Sunday afternoon when he finished second in a $15,000 class at Hippodrome de Montreal.

Stepping up in class for owner Paul Gray of Pugwash, Hilo sat second throughout the 1:54.1 mile behind the heavy favourite Fox Valley Tribal, who was driven by Denis St. Pierre for trainer Colin Johnson. Hilo, driven by Gilles Dion, finished just three-quarters of a length back.
