SPRINGHILL Students at the Nova Scotia Community College are learning more than just the skills they need to be a success in the future but that the world truly is their oyster.

Second-year Human Services students at the Cumberland Campus will soon embark on a transcontinental excursion to conduct their on-the-job training in Scotland, through a project dubbed the International Work Experience Project

The program gives the students the opportunity to travel abroad to complete their required practicum while providing the prospect of blending learning, work and community service.

The amount we have to raise is $2,000 per person which is why we are spending any available time between now and the first week of May to raise the funds, instructor Ruth Currie said.
