The following are recipes supplied to The Citzien on a weekly basis by Springhill correspondent Heln Breau
PINEAPPLE CHICKEN CHOW MIEN
1 can chicken chow mien
1 tin pineapple tidbits (small can)
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Combine all ingredients in saucepan, heat slowly until bubbly, serve over chow mien noodles.
The celery should remain crunchy and green.
If more meat is desired, add 1 cup cooked seasoned chicken.
MEAT BALLS AND BAKED BEANS
1 tin baked beans, 19 ounces
1 tin meat balls and gravy
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Combine all ingredients in baking dish or bean crock.
Bake uncovered 40 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees.
1 package cheese pizza mix
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 tin shrimp (6 ounces)
Make up pizza dough as directed on package. Cover crust with mustard.
Arrange shrimp over mustard.
Cover with pizza sauce, sprinkle grated cheese over all. Bake as directed on package.
