SPRINGHILL – The park in Springhill was turned into a mini water-park today for Canada Day weekend with a dunk tank, water slide, and water gun fight.

Hotdogs and pop were served to the kids who took pot-shots at the victims of the dunk tank including members of the Youth Town Council and Constable Doug Williams.

Mayor Allan Dill said the best part about this Canada day was the large involvement of the Youth Town Council in the organization.

“Here today, the whole Youth Town Council is here working and happy about it. That alone tells me that Springhill has got a future with the youth.”

The celebrations continued with fireworks at dusk and bike rodeo and flag-raising ceremony Sunday morning.
