Ironman Jeff Burbine will share his story about his journey to Ironman Worlds in Hawaii this Saturday at 11:00 am at the Joggins Fossil Centre. Burbine’s free community presentation will also include training and travel details, as well as an equipment demonstration. 

Condolences are sent out to the family and friends of Ross Lewis who passed away on Sunday, November 24 at Gables Lodge in Amherst. He was 90 years of age.

On Saturday Dec. 7 at 11:00 am at the Joggins Fossil Centre, Ironman Jeff Burbine will use words and pictures to tell his inspiring story, a story that culminated this past October at Ironman Worlds in Kona, Hawaii. “I will be hosting a talk about my passion-triathlon-and my journey to the 2013 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii,” says Burbine. “Everyone is welcome; I'm hoping to see some of my olds friends, and anyone who is interested in discussing why anyone in their right mind would do a race that lasts 140.6 miles. Hope to see you all soon.”

In addition to the aforementioned, Burbine’s free community presentation will also include training and travel details, notwithstanding an equipment demonstration .

“Washer Toss will be taking a break until the new year,” writes Bob Hoeg of the River Hebert legion. “The X-Mas season has taken over. Everyone have a stress free Christmas. There will be a New Year’s Dance. The music will be supplied by Mike's D.J & Karaoke service. More details to follow once tickets are ready.”
