The regular open mic nite was held on May 7 with a good crowd. The entertainers came from near and far and made for an enjoyable evening.
Jo-anne Allen won the 50-50 draw and Jordie Gilbert won the door prize.
The Canning homestead is once again active on weekends. Recently my sisters Eileen, Marjorie and Helen hosted a belated birthday party for me. I was treated to lobster and a beautiful birthday cake with not enough candles. This was such a joyful time as the winter was very long and I enjoyed the thoughtfulness of my beautiful sisters.
Regular church service in the Diligent River Baptist Church was held on Sunday, May 8. The next service will be at 7 p.m. on May 22.
Welcome home to our snowbirds Marjorie and Leonard Crossman and Dave and Elaine Baker.
The regular spring cleanup and ditch and beach clean up took place on April 7.
The event was sponsored by the Shore Drive Community Development Association.
Following the work day all attended a barbecue at the fire hall.
