Musical Evening

The Amherst 50+ Club, 52 Croft St. will hold a musical evening, starting at 8 pm, with a light lunch at 11 pm. Everyone 50 and over, welcome.

Gospel music

The Gospel Quartet “For The Cross” from Moncton, NB will be singing at the Highway Pentecostal Church in Parrsboro at 7 pm. A free-will offering will be received and refreshments will be served following the concert. Everyone Welcome.

Bake & Craft Sale

Bake & Craft Sale Saturday at the Knights of Pythias Hall from 9 am-1 pm. Board Breaking at noon, as Jim Ripley of JC’s Tae Kwon-do will attempt to break 1,000 boards in 1 hour. All proceeds in support of the Amherst & Area Tae Kwon -do Parents Association.

The Chignecto Glooscap Snowmobile Assc. will host a fundraising auction at the River Hebert Fire Hall. New and used items. For information call 545-2928 or 251-2103. All welcome.

The Amherst Masonic Society will hold a breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Masonic Temple, 20 Lawrence St. Everyone welcome.

Earth Day Expo

All are invited to come out for an afternoon of family fun and “green” information. Booths, displays, demonstrations, nature lessons, TerraSonga, 100-mile Cafe, and more, at the Earth Day Expo, at Trinity-St. Stephen’s United Church, 1 Ratchford St., Amherst. 1-4 PM.

The R.C.A.F. association ,105 Cumberland Wing ,Havelock St. is holding it’s monthly Roast Beef Dinner from 4 to 6 P.M. Eat in or Take out. Deliveries in Town.
