Bridge: Rookie night

Do you liketo play bridge in an informal environment? Rookie night for Bridge players at the 50 plus club. You do not need a partner

A pancake supper will be held at the Collingwood Fire hall from 1 to 6 p.m. Menu: Pancakes, Susages, Beans, brown bread, cake, beverages. Sponsored by the Collingwood & Dist. Vol. Fire. Dept. Ladies Auxilary.

Maple Syrup Festival

A Maple Syrup festival will be held at the Collingwood Firehall from 1 to 6 p.m.

Menu : Pancakes, Beans, Sausages, Cake, Beverages. Sponsored by : Collingwood & Dist. Volunteer. Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary.

Cribbage

The R.C.A.F. association 105 Cumberland Wing, Havelock St. is holding a Cribbage Tournament. Registration at 1 and play starts at 1:30. Bring a partner or come alone. Inquiries 667-9262.

Kids fashion show

A kids fashion show will be held at 6 p.m. at the Linden Community Hall. Donation at the door, Canteen available.

Open Mic

An open mic musical evening will be held at the Diligent River Community Hall on Saturday, April 9th at 7:00pm.

Pancake supper

The Lorneville United Church will be hosting a pancake supper from 4 to 6 p.m. Proceeds for Church purposes.

Musical afternoon at Sunrise Senior Citizen Hall Lr. Shinimicas from 1 to 5 p.m.

Choir performance

Nova Scotia's provincial men's choir Nova Voce will present Deep Harmonies at 3 p.m. at Trinity United Church, Oxford. Tickets are available at the door.

Auction 45’s

 An Auction 45’s tournament will be held at the Amherst 50+ Club, 52 Croft St., at 1:30 p.m..  Registration at 1 p.m.  Please bring a partner.

Cumberland County Riders ATV Club will hold its regular meeting at 7 pm at the Brookdale Church Hall.

Musical comedy

Showcase Productions Society presents the musical comedy “The Wedding Singer” at the Susan Taylor Theatre at Amherst Regional High School April 14 to 16 with evening performances at 8 pm and a Saturday matinee at 2 pm. Tickets are available at Gordon’s Ladies Wear and Pugsley’s Pharmacy or at the door.

Cumberland Y Service Club & Amherst Y’s Menettes Door to Door Food Drive

In conjunction with other Community Volunteers. From 10 am to noon. If you are not home, please leave food bag on front step.

Pancake dinner

The annual Men's Maple Festival Pancake Dinner at Trinity St Stephens United Church in Amherst from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Heartz Hall on Ratchford  Street. Menu includes pancakes, sasuage, baked beans, rolls, maple  syrup, pie, tea or coffee. For takeouts call 667-8483 . Maple products available.

Luncheon

A Ladies Circle Easter Luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Soup or chili, rolls, biscuits, dessert, tea, coffee. Oxford Baptist Church

Roast Beef Dinner

Three Way 4-H Club Roast Beef Dinner

will be held – 2 Settings at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Leicester Fire Hall. There will be a 50/50 and a silent auction at each setting.

The Parrsboro Band Assc. will host the Stadacona Band in concert at 2 p.m. at the Parrsboro Regional High School in partnership with the high school and the air cadets.

Spring concert

The Parrsboro Band Assc. will host its annual Spring Concert with the Parrsboro Band.    Guest musicians and performers. This event will celebrate the life of long time bandmaster Bernie Burke with the dedication of the main auditorium in his honour. Free will donations at the door. Further details to be announced.
